He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Simerly and Lena B. Hill; and his brother Jimmy C. Simerly. He is survived by: his children, Gregory Simerly (Angela), Jolene E. Garland (Chris) and Vanessa Baker (Jason); and his grandchildren, Joseph Simerly, Lance Baker and Elizabeth Simerly. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Chapel (212 N Main St, Elizabethton, TN 37643). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
