It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald Sluder (Roan Mountain, Tennessee), born in Newland, North Carolina, who passed away on May 23, 2018, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Galen Sluder; his stepdaughter Barbara Doty; and his child Marie Simerly Sluder. He is survived by: his parent Ida Waycaster Sluder; his sons, Kenneth Sluder (Tammy) of Roan Mountain and Harold Sluder (Ruth) of Roan Mountain; his stepsons, Floyd "Bud" Odom of Roan Mountain, Johnny Odom (Sharon), PeeWee, Burleson, Hampton, Dwight Doty and Unicoi; his grandchildren, Misty, Dustin Sluder (Heidi), Juno and Nick Sluder (Amber); his great grandchildren, Harlee Black and Damian Black; his son Keith "Joe" Sluder; and also Pap.
