We are sad to announce that on August 9, 2020, at the age of 71, Perry Markland Sr. of Roan Mountain, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillie Markland and John Markland; his wife Wanda Joan Markland; and his brother Yancel Markland. He is survived by: his children, Karen Julian (Ford), Lori Powell (Jeff) and Perry Markland, Jr. (Sue Ann); his siblings, Dean Makland, Dana Markland (Betty) and Pam Timbs (Eddie); his sister-in-law Gail Markland (Yancel); his grandchildren, Brent Powell (Beth), Karla Holtsclaw (Beecher), Kristen Turbyfill (Travis), Allie Wooten (Josh), Dylen Markland, Tyler Powell, Erin Julian, Macy Waycaster (Trevor), Meagen Markland (Andrew Carden) and Makenzie Foster; his great grandchildren, Kaylee, Addison Wooten, Ethan, Kylie Turbyfill and Owen Powell; his friends, Hazel Jarrett, Pearl Markland and Ty Powell; and his parents-in-law, Shirley Miller (Charlie), Harland Hughes (Layla) and Ronnie Hughes (Sharon). He is also survived by his daughters, son, sister, brothers, grandchildren and friends.
Due to Covid-19 the family will not be receiving friends at the home but will meet with friends and family at the graveside. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, everyone who attends must wear a mask and practice social distancing per CDC guidelines.
