He was predeceased by: his parents, Soloman Odom and Linnie Bowman Odom; his wife Mary Evelyn Potter Odom; and his children, Terry Lee Odom and Sharon Louise Odom Heaton.
He is survived by: his sons, Johnny Dean Odom of Roan Mountain and David Wayne Odom (Teresa); and his grandchildren, Matthew Hitechew, Joshua Hitechew, Amanda Ward, Brittney Odom, Caitlin Odom and Kristin Waters.
