He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Heaton and Mildred Hughes Heaton. He is survived by: his wife Sue Buchanan Heaton; his children, Gregory Heaton, Melanie Heaton (Randy), David Heaton (Kim) and Eric Heaton (Kindel); and his brothers, Wayne Heaton (Margaret) and Freddie Heaton (Martha).
