He was predeceased by: his wife Caroline McKinney Winters; and his son Richard Winters. He is survived by: his daughter Janet Potter (Steve) of Elizabethton; his daughter-in-law Norma Winters; his great grandchildren, Richie Winters, Danny Winters and Nicki Jenkins (Thomas); his great great grandchildren, Kinlee Jenkins and Maddie Jenkins; his grandson Daniel Keith Winters; and also, Winters Road and Roan.
