With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carrie Gardner of Roan Mountain, Tennessee, who passed away on April 16, 2025 at the age of 87. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mckinley Jarrett and Rosie Jarrett; her husband Charlie Gardner; her sons, Charles Gardner and Jimmy Reese Gardner; her grandchildren, Katie Lee Gardner, David Gardner and Daniel Paul Mckinney; her great grandchild Gabriel Gardner; and her siblings, Edith Mckinney, Dorothy Roberts, Ruth Jarrett, Betty Jarrett, Shirley Jarrett, Paul Jarrett of Junior Jarrett, R. E, Joe Jarrett, Herman Jarrett and Reese Jarrett.
She is survived by: her children, Joanne Mckinney (Paul), Dorothy Robertson, Linda Ledford (Ray), Mckinley Gardner, J. C. "Sam" Gardner (Millie) and Terry; and her daughter-in-law Barbara Gardner. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other family members.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Tetrick Rhododendron Chapel (8460 US-19E, Roan Mountain, TN 37687). A celebration of life was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Jarrett Family Cemetery (270 Burbank Rd, Roan Mountain, TN 37687).
