He is survived by: his wife Brenda Jarrett Barnett; his daughter Beverly Oxentine (Michael) of Morganton, NC; his grandchildren, Brittany Weise (Brandon) of Marion, NC and Jordan Oxentine (Brittany Gibson) of Lincolnton, NC; his great grandchild Hannah Weise of Marion, NC; and his sister Jean Carver of Icard, NC..
