He was predeceased by: his parent Bynum; his wife Betty Joean Elliot Norris; his son Ernie Norris; and his siblings, Melbourne Norris, Gladys McCracken and Wanda Reeser.
He is survived by: his children, Harvey Norris (Brenda) and Pat Shell (Wayne); his grandchildren, Beth McLaughlin, Aleshia Cuthbertson, Lee Norris and Jason Norris; his great grandchildren, Andrew, Austin McLaughlin, Gracie Cuthbertson, Zachary Shell, Justin, Bradley Norris and Boone Norris; his great great grandchild Knox Norris; his sister Veryl Hopson; and his close friend Johnny Ledford. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Carter County is mandating that all citizens who live in or visit Carter County wear masks in public. In keeping in accordance with this mandate, all visitors to the visitation / graveside service are required to wear a mask/ and or facial covering.
