It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Roy Overton Jr. (Ripley, Tennessee), born in Brownsville, Tennessee, who passed away on October 4, 2019, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Overton Sr and Myrtle Hill Overton; his brothers, Charles Martin Overton and Richard Lenny Overton; and his grandson Jacob Ivy.

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Louise Cothern Overton of Ripley, TN; his daughter Susan Ratcliff (Ed) of Batesville, MS; his stepsons, Steve Donaldson (Debra) of Eads, TN, Alan Donaldson (Becky) of West Memphis, Ark, Greg Donaldson (Tammy) of Dyersburg, TN and Jeff Donaldson (Mary) of Redmond, OR; and his brother Jamie Hill Overton (Patti) of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; twenty two great-grandchildren and leaves a legacy of three great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the Overton family requests that Memorials be made to the Mary's Chapel Baptist Church, 279 Mary's Chapel Road, Ripley, TN 38063.
