He was predeceased by: his daughter Teresa Ann Douglas; and his siblings, Annie Laura Jennings of William Dan and Charles Lynn Douglas. He is survived by: his children, Linda Carol Ammons of Ripley, Richard Wayne Douglas (Gail) of Ripley and Gary Alan Douglas (Belinda) of Ripley; his brothers, Richard Douglas of Ripley and James G. Douglas of Ripley; his grandchildren, Allison Douglas Garner, Alan Douglas, Bill McWherter, Julie Burton, Matt McWherter, Jacob Douglas and Seth Douglas; and his great grandchildren, Franklin, Lillie, Allie, Tate, Cole, Logan, Brooke, Addie, Molly and Carson.
