He was predeceased by: his parents, R. H. Pennington and Ada Pennington (Heathcott); his son Leamon Atwood Pennington Jr. (Bimbo); and his sister Bettye Joyce Smith. He is survived by: his wife Mary Evelyn Pennington (Spray); and his children, Sandra Holland of Ripley, Denise Caviness (Terry) of Ripley, Susan Pittman (Clay) of Ripley and Steve Pennington of Ripley. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren and 7 great great-grandchildren.
