With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Johnnie Mae Hunter of Ripley, Tennessee, born in Halls, Tennessee, who passed away on February 11, 2025 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elvin Levoie and Josephine London (Tomlinson); her husband Larry Joe Hunter; and her siblings, Diane Wright, Jo Ann Davis, Scarlet Scallions, Glenn London and Jimmy London.
She is survived by: her children, Tammy Green (Timmy) of Ripley, TN and Scott Hunter (Connie) of Brownsville, TN; her siblings, Betty Pease of Dyersburg, TN, Demetria Jackson of Halls, TN, Shirley Wright of Union City, TN and Levoie London Jr. of Halls, TN; and her grandchildren, Shelly Brashier and T. J. Green. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hutcherson Chapel (1255 Dry Hill Rd E, Halls, TN 38040). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
