He was predeceased by: his son John David Byrd, Jr.; his siblings, Alma Lane, Richard Byrd and Tony Byrd; and his grandson Joseph Lewis.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Parker Byrd; his daughters, Amber Byrd Barker of Millington, Joan Lewis-McCammon (Rick) of Southaven, MS, Pat Dillard (Ricky) of Hernando, MS and Judy Hall (Frank) of Virginia; his stepsons, Wally Burdette (Sheri) of Covington, Kenny Burdette (Linda) of Covington and Mitch Stegall (Sonja) of North Wilkesboro, NC; and his siblings, Mamie Lou Covington (Bob) of Houston, TX, Lillian Cross of Bartlett, Mary Green (Wayne) of Gainesville, TN, Alice Faye Miller of Maryville, TN, Shelby Byrd of Pocohontas, AR, Billy Byrd (Carolyn) of Brighton and Jerry Byrd (Jan) of Covington. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
