He is survived by: his children, James Langley, Jr of Louisiana, John Short of Texas, Jessie Langley of Ripley, Felisha Womack of Kansas and Violett Fain of Dyersburg; his stepsons, Adam Murphy of Brownsville and Von Murphy of Tiptonville; and his sister Gennelle Hendron of Ripley. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
