It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Griggs in Ripley, Tennessee, born in Covington, Tennessee, who passed away on June 7, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Earl and Alvina Fortner Jacques; her children, Linda Griggs Croisant and Charles N. Griggs, Jr.; her brother William Earl Jacques, Jr.; and her nephew William Earl Jacques, III.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Marcy Ray, Tonya Watson, Terry Griggs and Charles N. Griggs, III; her niece Lisa Jacques Bond of Mesa, AZ; and her nephew Michael Earl Jacques of Gosnell, AR.. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
The family asks that any memorials be made to Ashport Baptist Church.
