He was predeceased by: his parent Veatrice Nunnery McAlister; his daughter Deanna Lynette Quillions; and his siblings, Glenda Scott, Teresa Parker, Judy McAlister and Rickey McAlister.
He is survived by: his close friend Denise Grooms; his children, Donna Allen (Kevin) of Tiptonville, Doug McAlister of Benson, NC and Bubba Parrish (Brittney) of Tiptonville; and his sister Libby Scott of Ridgely. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
