He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernice Burse and Ruby Estes Burse. He is survived by: his daughters, Debbie Smith (Mark) of Jackson, TN and Heather Storey (Brent) of Mt. Juliet, TN; his siblings, Glen Burse (Delores) of Jackson, TN, Nell Hathcock of Bradford, TN and Barbara Chism of Ridgely, TN; and his grandsons, Brock Smith and Dustin Smith.
The family ask that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to K-9 for Warriors or the Fisher House Foundation in memory of Jerry Burse and Mack & Malcolm Chism.
