We are sad to announce that on July 31, 2021, at the age of 95, Daniel Lay of Ridgely, Tennessee, born in Bogota, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan Lay and Myrtle Eaton Lay; his son Terry Stephen Lay; his son-in-law Mike Humphrey; his siblings, Jesse Lay (Rachel), Otto, Plato Lay, Cleo Lay, Dorothy Cantrell (Wesley), Bessie Walker (Bobby) and Cora Mae Roberson (Yvonne); and his cousin Billy Lay.
He is survived by: his wife Rubye Lee Nichols Lay of Ridgely, TN; his daughters, Sandra Lay Bennett (Steve) of Dyersburg, TN and Amy Lay Humphrey of Ridgely, TN; his grandchildren, Amanda Bennett Poplin (Chris), Zachary Bennett (Brittany), Matthew Humphrey (Chloe), Justin Humphrey and Tucker Humphrey; his great grandchildren, Rylee Poplin, Mason Poplin, Emma Josephine Poplin, Jed Humphrey, Lenny Humphrey, Layla Doyle Forsythe (Zach), Gracelyn Humphrey and Amelia Bennett; and his sister-in-law Bonnie Lay.
