It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brenda Althea Burnette of Riceville, Tennessee, born in Athens, Tennessee, who passed away on March 3, 2022, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Henry Brock and Fannie Mae "Jo" Riden Brock; her son Ronnie Scott Buckner; and her sister Henrietta Tallent. She is survived by: her husband Greg Burnette of Riceville; her children, Kimberly Denise Buckner of Riceville and Mark Allen Buckner of Madisonville; her grandchildren, Brenda "Little Brenda" Suzanne Baker of Riceville, Jacob Allen Buckner of Riceville, Kandice Marie Baker of Riceville and Kaitlynn Starr "Bugs" Baker of Riceville; her great grandchildren, Angel Howard, Lillie Grace Baker, Kashton Gregory Cole Baker and Starlitt Kham Lovanh; her siblings, Mattie Watson (Rual) of Etowah, Betty Derrick (Kenneth) of Englewood, Joy Howard of Marietta, GA, David Brock of Madisonville, Johnny Brock (Synthia) of Athens and Donald Brock (Prissy) of Athens; and her close friend Lesa Gibson.
