He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruce Oliver and Grace Houston Tharpe; his close friend Peggy Lee Cunningham; and his daughter Sarah Amanda Tharpe. He is survived by: his children, Nathan Adam Tharpe of Dayton and Tiffany Brooke King of Dayton; and his siblings, Jimmy Tharpe (Mary) of Knoxville and Linda Alexander (Clyde) of Dayton. He is also survived by his three grandchildren.
