Sammie is survived by: wife Louise Pryor Atkins; children, Becky (Chris Hix), Brenda Atkins, Linda (Paul Whited), Patsy (Harold Givens), Sammy Joe Atkins, Jerry (Tammy Atkins), Gary Joe (Evie York) and Jewell Ray York; and stepchildren, Shirley Creek (Joe Dale), Vicky Adams (James), Kathy Clark and Terry Crowder. Sammie is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
