He was predeceased by: his parents, Willy Vernon Bandy and Beulah Mae Brawner Bandy; his son Jimmy Lynn Newberry; his siblings, Judy Whittemore and Jimmy Bandy; and his sister-in-law Patricia Caruthers.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Paulette Bandy; his children, Felicia "Sissy" Adams, Billy "Bubby" Bandy (Rebecca), Brandy Riley (Bobby Lane), Virginia, Cravens (Danny), Floyd "Timmy" Newberry (Kristy) and Rosetta Terry (Jake); his siblings, Freddy Bandy (Vexey), Ricky Bandy (Judy), Steven Bandy, Rocky Bandy (Renee) and Cathy Sarabia (Jose); and his brother-in-law Gary Caruthers Twenty. He is also survived by Twenty-four Grandchildren, twenty-five Great-Grandchildren, and one Great-Great-Grandchild.
