He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruel Richardson and Voras Nolan Richardson; his son Randy David Richardson; and his siblings, Charles "Bud" Richardson, Ellen Primm and Audria Rollins.
He is survived by: his wife Lola Dabbs Richardson; and his son Steven Keith Richardson of Readyville, TN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
