He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack Johnson and Ethel Milford Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Johnson; his children, Mike Johnson (Kristina) of Woodbury, Alan Smithson of Smyrna, Scott Smithson (Michele) of Auburntown, Teresa Brooks (Gary) of Mount Juliet and Angie Graham (Jeff) of Murfreesboro; and his grandchildren, Josh Johnson (Taylor), Jacob Smithson (Michelle), Brandy Baltz (Daniel), Jenna Shelton (Will), Jackson Graham, Kayla Brown (Cody), Charlie Brooks (Paige) and Erin Phillips. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations are requested to the American Cancer Society.
