He was predeceased by: his parents, James Nile Reed, Sr. and Fanetta Peggy Pitts. He is survived by: his sons, Jim Reed of Murfreesboro, Jamie Reed (Stephanie) of Murfreesboro and Jerry Reed (Taylor) of Shelbyville; his grandchildren, Cody, Raquel, Maya, Dylan, Aspen, Mason, Chandler and Greyson; his great grandchildren, Brayden and River; his half-brother Ronnie Gilley of Woodbury; his aunt Kay of Woodbury; his uncles, Gary Don Pitts (Judy) of Murfreesboro and Bobby Pitts (Nelda) of Woodbury; and also Peeler of Woodbury. He is also survived by his wife of 46 years whom he married.
