He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Crook" Barton and Melba Fuller Barton; his wife Sheila Reeves Barton; his stepson Chris Tate; his brother Jack Barton; and his brothers-in-law, Charles "Timmy" Reeves and Scotty Wilson.
He is survived by: his children, Chris Barton (Carolyn) of Centertown and Lorie Polidora (Ron) of Hubert; his stepson Bobby Tate (Robyn) of Michigan; his siblings, Ray Barton (Peggy) of Readyville and Cynthia Barton of Madison; his siblings-in-law, Stanley Reeves, Phyllis Barton, Donna Savely (Tom) and Rhonda Arnold (Gary); his grandchildren, Sgt. Landon Boroday, William Boroday, Timothy Hemby (Renee), Mary Tate, Dakota Hemby and William Hemby; and his niece Addison Barrett.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Gentry-Smith Funeral Home (303 Murfreesboro Rd, Woodbury, TN 37190). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
