It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Etta Mae Williams of Readyville, Tennessee, born in Lebanon, Tennessee, who passed away on August 24, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Lee and Sarah Jane Ferrell Stanley; her former husband James Willie Ashford; her husband Walter "Howard" Williams; her siblings, Landon Stanley, Orgie Lee Stanley, Jewel Merriman, Josephine Payne and Elizabeth Stanley; her sons, Charles Jackson Ashford and Jerry Wesley Ashford; and her stepchildren, Bobby Williams, Steve Williams, Becky Williams and Debbie Mummel.
She is survived by: her daughters, Evelyn Jane Whitehead and Tammy Lynn Thompson; her stepchildren, Hank Williams and Teresa Bain; her sister Barbara Tucker; and her grandchildren, Riley Williams, James Ricky Ashford, Jr., Kimberly Peacher, Joshua Ashford, Jeffrey Whitehead, Destiny Thompson, Erica Spiess and Austin Thompson. She is also survived by numerous step-grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
