He was predeceased by: his parents, Hillard Lee and Mildred Inez Matlock Griswell; his wife Mary Nell Thacker Griswell; his son Junior Dale Griswell; and his siblings, Bobby Griswell and Ruth Griswell.
He is survived by: his children, Billy Joe Griswell (Andrea) of Ramer, TN, Gary Franklin Griswell (Terry) of Savannah, TN, Phillip Darrell Griswell (Debbie) of Corinth, MS and Geneve Hill (Jimmy) of Bethel Springs, TN; and his sister Dorothy White of Adamsville, TN. He is also survived by 5 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren.
