He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry Lloyd and Sylvia Dean Brown Simerly; his brothers, Donald (Pat), Lester, Wayne (Eleanor) and Jimmy Simerly; his siblings-in-law, Garnett McCormick, Arlen McCormick, Jr. (Delores), George Paquette, Gary Gooch and JoAnn Page (Bill); and his sons-in-law, Vernon Powers and Jerry Trapp.
He is survived by: his children, Gail Thomas (Eddie) of Tennessee, Pamela Sue Powers (Todd Whitmore) of Missouri and Anthony Lynn Simerly (Janice) of Ohio; his grandchildren, Brandon Lee Powers (Jessica), Jake Nathaniel Trapp, Quade Thomas and Caylan Thomas; his great grandchildren, Makade Trapp and Madelyn Trapp; his siblings-in-law, William McCormick (Betty) of McMinnville, Carlene Butts (Charles) of Quebeck, TN, Patsy Paquette of Morrison and Lue Simerly of Nashville, TN; and his close friends, Doris Hibdon, Lonnie Slatton and Charlie Butts. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital or Ronald McDonald House.
