He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Everett Thompson and Maude Eldridge Thompson; his wife Gay Pettit Thompson; his sister Glenda Thompson Powell (Barnette Powell, Jr.); and his sons, Barry (Lisa Thompson) and Larry (Martha Thompson). He was also cherished by les 7 grandchildren 7 great-grandchildren.
In consideration of the health and safety of friends and family during the Covid-19 pandemic, private graveside services will be held Monday, November 9, 2020 at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
