With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jerald Douglas Slatten of Quebeck, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 25, 2025 at the age of 89. As we bid Jerald Douglas farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Jerald Douglas is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Slatten and Nannie Belle Mason Slatten. He is survived by: his son Mike Slatten (Melissa) of Rockvale, TN; his granddaughters, Haley Martin (Henry) and Morgan Slatten; his brothers, Wayne Slatten (Faye) and Reed Slatten; and his nieces, Kim Savage (Alex), Wendy Quick (Dillard) and Debbie Slatten (family: Rick Dildine, Ben Dildine, Erick Dildine, Ryan Dildine, Staci Thomas, Danielle Dildine).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Hunter Funeral Home (120 Bockman Way, Sparta, TN 38583). A burial will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Jericho Cemetery (1825 Jericho Rd, Quebeck, TN 38579).
