She was predeceased by: her parents, Billy Hitt and Maxine Galbreath Hitt; her grandparents, Horace, Albirdie Pike Galbreath, James Wesley and Kate Peay Hitt; and her children, Lauree Thacker Himes and Darrell Shane Thacker.
She is survived by: her son Jerry Rand Thacker of Ladys Island, SC; and her brothers, Jim Hitt of Goodlettsville, TN and David Galbreath Hitt of Nashville, TN. She is also survived by 4 granddaughters and 8 great-grandchildren.
