It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Butch Camper of Puryear, Tennessee, who passed away on February 16, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Wayne and Susan Ruth Emery Camper; and his siblings, Virgie Hutto, Rose Mary Carroll and Albert D. "Buster" Camper.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Whitehead Camper; and his children, Teresa Bennett (Troy) of Puryear, Patricia Mayhew of Puryear, Sarah Lindley (Shane) of Puryear, Cristy Witherspoon (Chase) of Puryear, Keri Camper of Puryear and Wayne Camper (Angela) of Pleasant View, TN. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
