It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Edward Shelby of Pulaski, Tennessee, who passed away on February 12, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As William Edward departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved William Edward. Though William Edward may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sallie Boatright Shelby and Coell Shelby. He is survived by: his wife Anita Shelby of Pulaski; his son Joseph Shelby (Kim) of Nashville; his sister Judy Lamar of Pulaski; his niece Tiffany Kimbrough (Joey) of Pulaski; and his nephews, Tommy Lamar (Elisha) of Spring Hill and Edmund Schlacher (Elizabeth) of Florida. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Carr and Erwin Funeral Home (1228 E College St, Pulaski, TN 38478). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family requests. Memorial Contributions be made to Shriner's Children's Hospital or the Church of Christ Disaster Relief Fund.
