He was predeceased by: his parents, Gideon Cephus and Ileen McLin Wakefield; his wife Kathleen Sharp Wakefield; and his brothers, Wayne Wakefield, Dr. Paul Wakefield, Glen Wakefield and Rade Wakefield.
He is survived by: his children, Sara Reese (Phil) of Pulaski and Gid Wakefield (Leslie) of Montgomery, Alabama.; his grandchildren, Katie Reese, Sam Reese (Grace), John Wakefield, Laurie Wakefield and William Wakefield; his great grandchild Phillip Reese; and his brother Carl Wakefield. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
