He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Scannella and Nell Rogers Scannella. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Delk Scannella of Pulaski, Tennessee.; his daughters, Leslie Machen (Greg) of Madison, Alabama. and Robin Quinn (Jamie) of Madison, Alabama.; his granddaughter Ashley Stephenson (Chris) of Madison, Alabama.; his great grandchildren, Bryce and Brooke Stephenson; and his brother Joe Scannella (Pam) of Knoxville, Tennessee..
