He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Hughes and Eva Crabtree Hughes; and his brother Jerry Hughes. He is survived by: his children, Tancy Hughes of Pulaski, Tennessee. and Troy Hughes (Andrea) of Pulaski, Tennessee.; his grandchildren, Clay Hughes of Pulaski, TN, Victoria Marks (Trillion) of Pulaski, TN, Courtney Gowan (Blake) of Athens and A. J. Pettus Jr. (Alysa) of Athens, AL; his brother Pat Hughes (Cindy) of Murfreesboro, TN; and his sister-in-law Gayle Hughes (Bennett-May).
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory (1910 Elkton Pike, Pulaski, TN 38478). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
