He was predeceased by: his parents, James Robert and Nora Isabell Woodard; and his siblings, Joe, James, Felix Woodard and Lois Rose.
He is survived by: his wife Diana Woodard of Pulaski; his children, Rufus Woodard, Jr. (Patricia) of Pulaski and Carol Clausel (Judd) of Pulaski; his stepchildren, Virgil Gannon of Florence and Louanne Armstrong of West, TN; his sister Mary Russell Cole of Lewisburg; and his grandson Jonathan Rosson of Waynesboro. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.
