He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertie Clair and Lucy Monola Steele Fosnight; and his siblings, Maxine, Agnes, George, Lois and Roland.

He is survived by: his wife Marian Fosnight of Bodenham; his children, Roy Fosnight, Jr. (Anita) of Harvest, AL, Alice Chapman (Mike) of Madison, AL, Sheila Hargrove of Bodenham and Sandra Norwood of Bodenham, Eight; and his grandchild Fourteen. He is also survived by Fourteen great grandchildren and Four great-great grandchildren.
