He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest Russell and Beulah Owen Russell; and his siblings, Willard Russell, Jerry Russell, Geraldine Russell and Wanda Autrey.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Carvell Russell; his daughter Teresa Manies (Jeff) of Pulaski; his grandchildren, Caitlin Augustin (Rob) of Pulaski and Dillon Manies (Amanda) of Pulaski; and his sisters, Joann Dickey (Dean) of Columbia and Linda Morris (George).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.
