He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Ludwig and Katherine; his stepfather Kenneth Brantley; his sister Patricia Hon; his nephew Joshua Kirkpatrick; and his grandparents, Boyd, Mary Faulkner, Arlie and Elsie Burge.
He is survived by: his daughter Shannon Ludwig of Maryland; his grandsons, Nicholas Ludwig, Logan Smith and John Paul Windsor; his sisters, Pamela Hubbert (Perry) of Pulaski, TN and Kelley Kirkpatrick (David) of Pulaski, TN; and his nieces and nephews, Mindi Tucker (Heath), Samantha Padilla (Alex), Danielle Kirkpatrick, Jonathan Bollinger (Michelle), Michael Hubbert, Jeremy Kirkpatrick (Christina) and Robert Hon (Kasondra).
