She was predeceased by: her parents, William Odell and Velma Frith Dye; and her siblings, Clyde Fairchild, Marcus Lynn Dye, Bobby Dye and Sheila Parker.

She is survived by: her children, Jerry Lynn Hays, Jr. of Huntsville, William Walther of New Market, AL and Rainey Hays of Huntsville; her brothers, Ervin Dye of Huntsville and Gene Dye of Terry; and her granddaughter Trinity Scott. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
