She was predeceased by: her parents, James Carl and Reba Irene Beets Higgins; her husband William Harold Spires; and her brothers, Ronald Higgins and Michael Higgins.

She is survived by: her children, William Harold Spires, Jr. of Lewisburg, Michael Shane Spires of Lewisburg and Ashley Nicole Beaver of Pulaski; her stepdaughter Marcie Keathley of Pulaski; her siblings, JB Higgins (Nettie) of Pulaski, Frankie Higgins (Donna) of Ethridge, David Higgins, Bruce Higgins (Lisa) of Pulaski, Faye Womble of Pulaski and Cheryl McDonald of Pulaski; and her grandchildren, Peyton Keathley, Dameon Spires, Hannah Dickens, Savannah Beaver, Carter Spires and Brinley Beaver.
