She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Thomas H. Harwell and Octa W. Harwell; her husband Colonel William C. Carter; her daughters, Anne Ball and Paige Garner (Sam); her son-in-law Frank E. Ball, Jr.; her granddaughter Jayne Ball (Mark Kilpatrick); and her great grandchildren, Hadley Garner and Jack Garner.
