He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hex and Grace May Smith Hayes; his brother Smith Hayes (Linda Hayes); and his stepdaughter Chasity Hayes. He is survived by: his children, Tracy Hayes (Michel) of Pulaski, Travis Hayes of Pulaski and Christy Sullivan (Carroll) of Thompson Station. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
