He is survived by: his wife Kaye Phelps of Pulaski; his children, Daniel of Nashville, James Jr. "Jaye" of Pulaski and Kara of Pulaski; his grandson Liam Phelps of Pulaski; and his parents, Mark Phelps and Jean Smith Phelps of Pulaski.
