She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Taylor and Vera Lee Phelps Hewgley; her husband Harvey McClain; her son Stephen McClain; and her siblings, Ferrell, Elbert, Kenneth, Austin Gilbert, Robert Hewgley, Elise Hewgley, Lee Harwell and Geneva Clements.

She is survived by: her siblings, Mark Hewgley of Pulaski and Lucille Warren of Lynchburg; and her great grandchild McKenzie McClain.
