He was predeceased by: his wife Reba Todd Franklin; his parents, Milton Franklin and Mary Fisher Franklin; his daughter Susan Franklin Dunavant; and his grandchildren, Robbin Russell and Alicia Dunavant.
He is survived by: his children, Shiela Russell (Bobby) of Pulaski and Sam Franklin (Deanna) of South Carolina; his grandchildren, Bobbie Foster, Philip Dunavant (Kelli), Bryan Russell (Charlene), Landry Franklin and Slyer Franklin; and his sister Betty Williams (Ralph) of Leoma Several. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren 2 great great grandchildren.
