She was predeceased by: her father Floyd Franklin; and her husband J. C. Chumbley. She is survived by: her children, Butch Townsend, John Townsend (Tina), Minor Hill, Linda Kellner, Debra Demski (James) and Sis Smith; and her sisters, Sue Strickland, Judy Jackson (Robert) and Nela Norton. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.
